Noir Nation Invites Submissions

by

Hello dear friends,

I hope this finds you happy and well. As you may know I've been working with an old friend in New York to get the first issue of Noir Nation, an international e-journal that will be distributed through Amazon.com and the like for e-readers such as the Kindle and the iPad.  My wife's company Butterflies&Hurricanes has done the logo design, and is working on the internal layout design and graphic novels.  I'm sending you this because I wanted people to see it, but also we are looking for writers and submissions (we pay!).

There are also pledge and investment opportunities.

We are looking for literary quality character-driven stories, tales of people who take wrong turns into a noirish maze and find themselves in the darker corners of their lives in the 21st Century, both in the "real world" and virtual worlds.  We are especially looking for stories from so-far under-represented parts of the world:  Palestine, and the Middle East through to Pakistan, India, and South East Asia.

Writers are paid per piece and rights revert to the author upon publication.  We also have started Bare Knuckles press, so stories that are part of larger collections or that can be expanded into books can be published as well.

Also looking for graphic novels, and non-fiction on the place of noir in current crime literature and culture.
